Blogs today are filled with nasty rumors, sex scandals, crazy news stories, and all the other hard-hitting pieces that, honestly, don’t even matter at all. People have become so consumed with who the latest celebrity hot bod of the year is, what others are doing to lose ten pounds in ten minutes, and how to please him in bed.

Seriously, is there anything good left in the world? Is this what society has been reduced to—a slough of meaningless rubbish that has overtaken the hearts and minds of most Americans? It surely should not be. There are plenty of great causes out there that no one even knows about because the really important things are being overlooked. Starting a blog is a great way to share one’s opinions and views of the world. So, write about something that actually counts: write for a cause.

Find That Passion


The problem with most blogs nowadays is that they are all passionless. They revolve around the same topics and always look at things from the same angle. To write a truly effective and interesting blog, the person needs to be creative and find that passion. When people are passionate about something, it is often very easy to tell. They are not afraid to say what’s on their minds and stand up for what they believe in. This is the kind of resolve and willpower that every blogger should have.

Whether it’s to save the planet by going green, find a home for every puppy in the world, promote stricter gun laws, or abolish the gay and lesbian stereotype, one should find what inspires him or her and then chase that inspiration. Writing about a cause not only helps inform other people about some of the more important things going on in the world, but it allows the writer to express him or herself in a way that only writing can assimilate. Writing is an outlet for all kinds of feelings and emotions, and putting those thoughts down for others to see is a great idea for anyone.

Be You-nique


Many writers tend to lose themselves in the big world of blogging. After all, there are thousands of blogs available for people to read, so how do these writers make sure theirs is the one being read? The main thing they should always remember is to be themselves.

Every person is one hundred percent unique, meaning everyone has a story to tell, and everyone’s story is different from that of the next person. Blogging about personal feelings, passions, desires, and more can open so many doors for these writers.

Make a Difference


Sometimes the things people really need to hear about are the starving children across the block, the man dying of cancer on the street, or the poor homeless puppies. Blogs don’t always have to be so repetitive and stereotypical. In fact, a truly great blogger will find something important to write about that actually matters and makes a difference to the people reading it.

Sometimes, though, it is easy to lose focus of what is really important as a writer. However, remembering to always stay true to what really matters is one way to make sure that fire inside is never extinguished. Once bloggers figure out their real passions and find a cause worth writing about, they can rest assured that their words, even if only seen by a few, will have a much greater impact on the world than those of the sex-obsessed, celebrity-worshipping, fitness-crazed writers of today’s society.
