5 SEO Myths That Will Prevent Your Website From Growing

Your website is growing with traffic, and the best traffic is the traffic that comes from the search engine. It means that the best thing you can do for your website is to optimize it for SEO. This is the only way to keep your website growing. But, not all things that you know about SEO are correct. There are SEO myths that you have to avoid because they may prevent your website from growing. Here are 5 SEO myths that will prevent your website from growing:

1. You Can’t Post Your Content Elsewhere

People will tell you that you can’t post your content elsewhere because it would be a duplicate content in the eyes of the search engine. This is not true at all. In fact, you should syndicate your content in many places in order to gain the most traffic from it. Duplicate content only means that you’re publishing the same content on your website twice.

This is the real duplicate content. But, publishing your content elsewhere doesn’t mean duplicate content. It means syndication, and it will help you to gain more traffic to your website.

2. One Or Two Keywords Are Not Enough For Your Content

People will tell you that the more keywords that you put into your website, the better your ranking will be. This is not true. There are many instances when an article gets ranked high in certain keyword when it only has one keyword in the content.

This alone is the proof that you don’t need to be crazy in placing your keywords into your content.Forget about keyword density. You have to keep your article flowing and place the keywords only in proper places.

3. You Don’t Need To Use SEO Service

Who says that you don’t need to use SEO service such as link building service for your website? It is very important to utilize SEO services for your website because it will help you to boost your website ranking significantly, especially if you know nothing about SEO. Using SEO service will cut down the time for you to rank your website.

In other words, you don’t need to manually do it for yourself. You can leave the SEO job for the professionals.

4. Let People Link To You Naturally

You will need to wait for ages if you let people link to you naturally. They won’t. They don’t have the time to do it, as well as the willingness to do it. You can’t wait until they link to your content naturally in order to attain higher website ranking.

You need to put the action into your hands. You have to link to your website manually from multiple sources in order to build solid Backlinks for your website. This will help you to grow your traffic.

5. Your Website Will Magically Rank Well If You Keep Updating Your Content

Updating your content alone won’t help you to rank well. You need to make sure that your website is getting a healthy amount of links from other websites. Content creation is one thing, but website marketing is another thing. Without a marketing element for your website, you won’t be able to make it rank well in the search engines. So, be sure to update your content as well as build your Backlinks for your website.

Thanks for writing this up. Lovely tips indeed. For me, an article can be re-written hundreds of times but make sure you don’t spin them. Just re-write everything from scratch and that should do the trick 🙂

    Hi,
The first two points on this post really got my attention. We are told so many things about how to get traffic to a blog. I feel that organic traffic is the best traffic because you are not depending on Google.
Blog commenting will get you that organic traffic. The keyword thing really has me stumped.
    Good post.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I learn a lot from blog commenting.
